About me

My name is Robert VISSER and I’ve been a professional technical translator for over 25 years – 13 years in-house at a big chemical company in Germany and 12 years as a freelancer in the south of France. My experience is largely in the translation and correction of texts in the field of chemistry and its industrial applications – I’ve a first class BSc (Hons) in chemistry from Canterbury University, Christchurch, New Zealand. But my repertoire extends to related fields such as environmental protection, toxicology, nutrition, plant protection, safety and chemical legislation (for fields of expertise and document types, see Translating and Proofreading).

Born in New Zealand of dual New Zealand-Dutch nationality, I translate from German, French and Dutch into English and am happy to communicate with clients in any of these four languages.

I’d be happy to forward you my CV on request.
